The last 2 months we have been working on two houses for Women’s Aid Rhondda Cynon Taff (RCT). They had the ladies who are staying there choose the colour of the paint which was Johnstones silver for the main walls and dark grey for the feature walls. We advised them to go with a wipe-able paint as there are many families staying and as you can imagine the walls get a good battering from the children. They chose the soft sheen as it is durable and can be scrubbed.
For the woodwork we chose to use the Johnstones Aqua range which is a water based product and does not produce fumes as an oil based version does. For this they chose satin as they felt it was more modern looking than a gloss finish. The benefit of using the aqua system is that it stays whiter longer.
Unfortunately we could not take pictures due to confidentiality but they were very pleased with the finished look. We will hopefully continue to work with them in the future.
A Little Bit About Women’s Aid RCT
